RE: Muslim Divine' goat in Delhi has a price tag of `4.5 lakh
Permalink

"The goat's back has a natural pattern which reads like `Allah' and `786'," said its owner Danish Abbas Qureshi

New Delhi, Nov. 16: With a day to go for Eid-ul-Azha, the goat bazaar at Jama Masjid in old Delhi is doing brisk business. But the star of the show is a goat with a price tag of a whopping `4.5 lakh.

“The goat’s back has a natural pattern which reads like ‘Allah’ and ‘786’,” its owner Danish Abbas Qureshi told IANS on Tuesday. He expects a price of at least `4.5 lakh.

Anything less than that? “I have another goat with ‘Mohammad’ etched on its back. This one costs `2.5 lakh,” he said.

Muslims across the globe celebrate Eid-ul-Azha in

honour of Prophet Ibrahim, who was even willing to sacrifice his son Ismail to please Allah. According to Muslim belief, Allah replaced Ismail with a sheep just as Prophet Ibrahim was about to slit the throat of his son. Hence the tradition of sacrificing an animal.

`Divine' goats like these are not unusual. Last year, a similar goat was sold for `3 lakh, shopkeepers in the goat bazaar said. Of course, bulk of the purchases are of modest amounts.

“Goats from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, belonging to breeds like Mewati, Barbari, Desi and Totapuri are available in the market.

The prices start from `5,000. But most healthy goats sell for `10,000,” said Kaleem Ali, a shopkeeper.

According to tradition, a sacrificial goat has to be selected carefully. It should be healthy, with a strong physique, and should not have any deformities.

Qaida seeks Dawoods help to plot attacks on Germany

Report Says Two Militants Had Already Arrived In Berlin Eight Weeks Ago

Berlin: A group of al-Qaida terrorists trained in Pakistani camps and assisted by underworld don Dawood Ibrahim are planning to storm Germanys Parliament in a Mumbai-style attack,a media report has said, prompting authorities here to step up security of the building.Police have cordoned off the area around the historic Reichstag building housing Parliament here and heightened security after authorities received a tip-off that a group of militants were on their way to stage a Mumbai-style attack.Hundreds of extra police have been pressed into service to protect other possible targets as well such as airports, railway stations and places of mass gatherings across the country.
The heightened security for the Reichstag comes after the news magazine Der Spiegel reported that a group of six al-Qaida terrorists, who have visited training camps in the border areas between Pakistan and Afghanistan, are planning to storm the building housing Bundestag, the lower house of parliament, early next year. Two of them have already arrived in Berlin six to eight weeks ago and their accomplices,a German,a Turk,a north African and an unidentified man are waiting to enter the country.Their attacks are planned for February or March next year, the magazine said. The warning about the planned attack on the Reichstag came to the Federal Criminal Office (BKA) from a German Islamic militant, who slipped to Pakistan some time ago to receive training in the terrorist camps there and now wants to return to his family.
However,German interior minister Thomas de Maiziere issued a separate warning about concrete evidence for an attack by Islamic terrorists at the end of this month on the basis of a second tip-off received by the BKA from the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI),the magazine said. The US domestic intelligence service warned that a Shiite militant group called Saif had entered into a pact with al-Qaeda to carry out an attack in Germany and two men dispatched by the group were waiting to enter Germany via the UAE on November 22 with Schengen visas,Der Spiegel said.
The FBI has identified Mustaq Altaf Bin-Khadri as the mastermind behind the plot and he is assisted in getting the men across to Germany by weapons and narcotics smuggler Dawood Ibrahim, the report said.A government spokesman on Saturday declined to comment on the Spiegel report and said the government has nothing new to add beyond the warning of a possible terrorist attack this month issued by the interior minister.
The Focus magazine published from Munich, meanwhile, said security authorities are investigating reports that Schengen visas may have been issued to some suspected terrorists in India,Pakistan and the UAE,possibly also with forged passports. They include two Pakistanis, two Indians as well as two German nationals of Syrian and Moroccan origin,it said.'Focus' said the Federal Criminal Office holds the view that al-Qaeda may have formed a team comprising nationals of different countries to carry out an attack in Germany.
A confidential BKS study showed that the Schengen visa, which allows unrestricted travel to a number of European countries, might be of great significance for terrorists trained abroad to plan and execute new attacks in Europe.
Chancellor Angela Merkel reacted for the first time to the terror warnings and said the nation is confronted by a real threat from terrorists.
Addressing a news conference in Lisbon, where she attended the NATO summit,Merkel called upon the German public to remain calm and not to allow terrorists to disrupt their daily life.AGENCIES

Just $4,200 to trigger global alert over parcel bomb, says Qaida

Operation Hemorrhage, the latest al-Qaida terror plot involving parcel bombs on cargo flights, cost just $4,200 and achieved its goal of putting a further drag on an already weakened US economy, claimed an online magazine of the terrorist outfit.Vowing to bleed its enemy to death by a thousand cuts, Inspire, the English-language online magazine of al-Qaida in Yemen, dedicates its latest issue to the plot, which it calls Operation Hemorrhage. The operation has succeeded in achieving its objectives. We thank Allah for His blessings, says the magazine, adding the cost of sending the parcel bombs was just $4,200.The article details al-Qaidas claim of responsibility for the October plot to ship bombs disguised as printer toner cartridges on cargo planes. On October 29,local authorities in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates intercepted parcel bombs sent from Yemen and addressed to US synagogues.AGENCIES

Small-scale attacks to continue: Qaida

Al Qaidas Yemen-based wing threatened more small-scale attacks against the United States to inflict economic damage, particularly to the aviation industry. It is such a good bargain for us to spread fear amongst the enemy and keep him on his toes in exchange of a few months of work and a few thousand bucks, AQAP said in its online Inspire magazine, released on militant websites. We are laying out for our enemies our plan in advance because as we stated earlier our objective is not maximum kill but to cause (damage) in the aviation industry,an industry that is so vital for trade and transportation between the US and Europe.

Fatwa: Donating blood un-Islamic

24_11_2010_008_057_008.jpg

SCHOLARS DISAGREE WITH DARUL DECREE

In a poten tially controversial decree, Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband has said that donation of blood and body parts was against the tenets of Islam, but observed that giving blood to save the life of a near and dear one was acceptable.

However, the opinion of the prominent Islamic seminary has not gone down well with several Muslim intellectuals who have asserted that religious bodies have already stated that there was no problem with blood donation.

In a fatwa issued in response to a question, the seminary said donating blood or body parts was not permitted in Islam as human beings were not the "owners" of their bodies. However, it added, "If someone donated blood to save the life of a near relative, it is allowed."

The decree is posted on the website of Darul Uloom's fatwa section dealing with `haram and halal' issues, where a person asked the seminary its opinion on whether taking part in blood donation camps was right or wrong.

Terming the fatwa as “incorrect”, noted scholar Maulana Wahiduddin Khan said it should not deter the Muslim community from donating blood.

“We have time and again appealed to the community to come out to donate blood, and will continue to do so,” he said, when his response was sought on the issue.

Chairman of the Department of Islamic Studies at Jamia Milia Islamia University, Delhi, Akhtarul Wase said donating blood was necessary to save lives and recalled that the Islamic Fiqh Academy — the body that deals in Islamic jurisprudence — has already stated that there was no problem in donating blood. He said a fatwa was only an opinion.

Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman issued notices to the respondents on a petition which seeks rights of Christian minority in the country to have chapter on the life history of Jesus Christ in academic book `Ikhlaqiat (ethics)'

ISLAMABAD A Pakistani court Nov. 24: A Pakistani court has issued notices to the authorities to reply why the chapters on life of Jesus are not included in the syllabus for the Christian students.

Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman of the Lahore high court issued notices to the respondents on a petition which seeks rights of Christian minority in the country to have chapter on the life history of Jesus Christ in

academic book “Ikhlaqiat (ethics)”, which is being taught to minority students in class nine and ten.

The petition had been filed by Raja Nathaniel Gill, former chairman of the minorities advisory council, Punjab, and Mary Anne Gill, secretary general of the Crimes Prevention International, grieving that the said book contained the life history of the personalities of various faiths but did not mention any word on the life of Jesus Christ notwith

standing the fact, Christians, the largest minority in the country, are his followers.

They said this is a discrimination with the Christians and the students, who have been deprived of the history of Jesus Christ.

The court issued notices to the respondents including, federal secretary education, secretary education Punjab and chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Lahore, and had also asked them to furnish reports and para wise comments on the petition individually.

Meanwhile, attempts by the government, specially Punjab governor Salman Taseer to pardon and exile blasphemy convict Aasia Bibi to the US have sparked protests by Islamic religious parties, which termed it antiIslam and demanded immediate dismissal of Salman Taseer as governor.

Various religious organisations held protest demonstrations and meetings condemning the government and the secular lobby in the country, particularly Punjab governor Salman Taseer, holding him part of the international conspiracy to amend the blasphemy law in Pakistan. Jamaat-e-Islami chief Syed Munawar Hasan condemned the campaign by governor Salman Taseer and the country's secular lobby for the release and exile of Aasia Maseeh and said it will prove to be the final nail in the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) led government's coffin.

ABUSED BY EMPLOYERS, SOME RETURN TRAUMATISED OTHERS IN COFFINS

While leaving for Saudi Arabia in May, Kavya (name changed), a 30-yearold mother of five in Thanjavur, promised her children that she would return home with gifts. She was sent home six months later in a body freezer box.

Kavya’s family says she worked as a maid for barely six months in Saudi Arabia.

“Kavya sent home Rs 6,000 every month. She once told us that the work was hectic and her employer was abusing her. They finally sent her body home,” a relative said.

Several maids fly to the Gulf with dreams of a fat pay packet that could improve the living conditions of their families. But many of them return home traumatised by abused or die in foreign countries, say activists. According to ‘Migrants 2006-10’, a report released recently in the city by NGO Arunodhaya Migrant Initiatives, over 6,000 housemaids in the United Arab Emirates are Indians. Many of these maids are abused physically or sexually by their employers.

AMI coordinator Bernard D’Sami said women domestic workers are often ill treated or denied their salaries. Many maids in the UAE are allowed to call their families only once a week or twice a month. The government should help maids to migrate safely to foreign countries and provide a simple mechanism to

report abuse to officials,” he said.

Sources in the ministry of overseas Indian affairs say the Indian high commissioners to Saudi Arabia and Libya have urged the Indian government to stop Indian women from taking up jobs as maids in the Gulf.

“The high commissioners said there are so many complaints of sexual exploitation by employers that they cannot address all of them,” an official said.

The official said the government dismissed the appeal because such a ban would interfere with the rights of the individuals concerned.

"The high commissioners said there are so many complaints of sexual exploitation by employers that they cannot address all of them."

A Mullah Imam Arrested for Raping Two Women

The police chief said that Mullah Rahmatullah was one of the relatives of Commander Sarbaz, an ex-commander of Junbish-e-Milli

The police say that they have arrested a Mullah Imam (a religious cleric who leads the prayers) in connection with the rape of two women in the Imam Sahib District of Kunduz Province.

Police chief of Imam Sahib District, Abdul Qayum Ibrahimi stated the culprit’s name as Mullah Rahmatullah and told PAN that he was an Imam in the mosque of the Baika village and had been arrested two days back as he thought to be involved in the rape of two women.

The police chief said that Mullah Rahmatullah was one of the relatives of Commander Sarbaz, an ex-commander of Junbish-e-Milli and Mohammad Azam, the husband of one of the raped women who also believes that Mullah Rahmatullah is involved in the rape case.

Mohammad Azam had told PAN three days back that a total of four armed men of Commander Sarbaz had raped his and his brother’s wife.

A resident of the Baika Village, he said that these men had knocked on their door at ten at night and after they had not opened the door, one of them jumped inside and broke the lock with the gun butt to let in the other three.

According to him, these men had beat them (he and his brother) with their gun butts, kicked and punched them, tied them up in another room and then raped their wives.

Mohammad Azam’s sister-in-law cried with her baby in her lap and claimed that one of the armed men had put the gun barrel in her mouth and a total of four men had raped her and her brother-in-law’s wife.

The family of the victim claimed that Commander Sarbaz had been appointed as an unofficial commander (referred to local people who are not officially in the government but fight against the government’s opponents in return for money and arms from the government) in Imam Sahib some time back and demanded punishment for the people involved.

Malem Juma Khan, district chief of Imam Sahib said that one of the relatives of Commander Sarbaz and three other men had raped two women but he didn’t name them.

Commander Sarbaz accepted that these women had been raped but refused that his men had been involved. He said he is ready to face the accusers in whatever organization they appeal in and defend his men.

Also Mahboobullah Saidi, spokesperson of the governor of Kunduz, said that they are trying to find the other three men. He assured that the attorney and security forces are working separately to find and arrest the accused and hand them over to the law.

பத்து வயது சிறுமியை கற்பழித்த இஸ்லாமிய இமாம் கைது

mam rapes ten-year-old girl
by William Gomes

The 42-year-old man was arrested by police right away. After enduring the violent assault, the girl told her parents everything. Rape charges against the religious leader have been filed. “I want justice,” father says.

Dhaka (AsiaNews) – A ten-year-old girl was brutally raped on Saturday in Chittagong by Mohammad Moinuddin, the imam of the Chittagong Government Muslim High School. The 42-year-old man said that Satan led him to commit the deed at his shop at Yakubnagar in Firingibazar. The girl was taken to Chittagong’s Medical College Hospital for tests.

Kotwali Police Chief Abul Kalam Azad told AsiaNews that around 6 pm, the imam called the girl as she walked home from school. He then took her to a quiet place where he raped her.

The girl ran home bleeding and told everything to her parents. Her father ran to the place of the crime to apprehend the rapist, who was arrested right after police was informed of the incident.

“My daughter is just ten-years-old,” the father said. “Every time I pray, I cannot but think about what happened. I cannot believe that an imam, a man who learnt from the holy religion of Islam, a man who teaches others, is the same man who raped by daughter. I want justice.”

Deputy police inspector Naznin Sultana Juthee said that the girl’s mother has already filed rape charges against the imam.

Local human rights activists condemned the rape.

Bombay HC stops lawyer after 115th case against wife

MUMBAI: A lawyer who dragged his estranged wife, an assistant public prosecutor, to court in a record 115 cases has been stopped in his tracks. A Bombay high court division bench recently passed an interim order restraining Naziruddin Nizamuddin Kazi from any more legal proceedings without court permission.

The HC admitted the petition on an application filed by Maharashtra advocate general Ravi Kadam to declare Kazi a vexatious litigant.

“We are satisfied that the issues raised in this application filed by the advocate general require consideration,” the bench said, scheduling the hearing in June 2011. when it will decide if Kazi should be declared a vexatious litigant.

Kazi is an advocate. His wife Kishwar is an assistant public prosecutor attached to a judicial first class magistrate`s court in Pune. Kazi filed the 115 defamation cases relying on every letter allegedly written by Kishwar, which he claimed were abusive.

Kishwar denied writing the letters and claimed that her husband had started filing cases against her after she lodged a dowry harassment complaint against him.

When the judges tried to effect a settlement, Kishwar said she wanted divorce, but Kazi insisted she return to him.

Under the Maharashtra Vexatious Litigation (Prevention) Act, the HC can brand a person a vexatious litigant if it is convinced he has “habitually and without any reasonable ground instituted proceedings, civil or criminal, in any court, whether against the same person or against different persons”. Such a litigant then has to obtain the permission of the high court or the district judge to file a fresh case or continue with existing cases filed by him.

“The law is to ensure that there is no abuse of court proceedings,” said additional public prosecutor Aruna Pai, who represented the state.

Following an application filed by Kishwar, advocate general Ravi Kadam gave his nod to the petition seeking to declare Kazi a vexatious litigant.

Kazi, who appeared in person, sought dismissal of the application. He told Justices B H Marlapalle and U D Salvi that of the 115 cases, the court has taken cognizance of only 20, while the rest are pending.

“Despite our intervention, it appears that an amicable settlement between the parties does not appear to be possible, at least at this stage,” the judges noted.

Shia Muslim convicted of child cruelty after forcing two boys to flog themselves· Wooden implement with five curved blades used

A Shia Muslim was convicted of child cruelty yesterday after he forced two boys to flog themselves during a religious ritual.

Syed Mustafa Zaidi, a warehouse supervisor, told the boys, aged 13 and 15, to beat themselves with a zanjeer zani, a wooden-handled implement containing five curved blades used when commemorating the death of Hussain, grandson of Muhammad and one of the most important figures in Shia Islam. Zaidi is due to be sentenced on September 24.

Manchester crown court heard how Zaidi, 44, flagellated himself at an event held in January in Manchester until his back was bloody and cut. Others at the event also flogged themselves. Some of those present, fearing Zaidi would seriously harm himself, asked him to calm down. Zaidi agreed, only to turn his attention to the two boys.

The 14-year-old, who was 13 at the time, told the jury that neither he nor the other boy wanted to injure themselves. He said Zaidi was insistent with the older boy, "pulling him and pushing him, 'keep doing it', telling people 'this is a sad moment and look, he's not doing it'.

"He goes, 'I don't want to do it, I don't want to do it'. He kept pressuring him, make him do the knife thing, pulling him, trying to get his T-shirt off, pulling and pushing him. He was saying, 'just do it, just do it'." He said the 15-year-old "swung it once or twice and said 'I don't want to do it any more'." The older boy was then pulled away by another man.

After the ceremony, the boys went home to their mother, who noticed several deep wounds on their backs and multiple slash wounds. She took them to Manchester Royal infirmary and the matter was reported to the police.

The boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted they wanted to beat themselves, but not under duress and not using Zaidi's zanjeer zani. They also said they had flogged themselves with a smaller zanjeer zani from the age of six in Pakistan.

Carol Jackson, for the Crown Prosecution Service, said the prosecution was not an attack upon the practices or ceremonies of Shia Muslims, adding that the prosecution relied partly on evidence given by the president of the local Shia community centre. It was the first case of its kind to be prosecuted by the CPS.

For Shia Muslims the death of Hussain is a period of intense mourning, leading some to beat and whip themselves. The practice is not compulsory and some Shia authorities prohibit it, while others say it should be done only if certain conditions are met.

Safdar Zia, general secretary of the Jaffria Islamic Centre, said Shia Muslims in Manchester would now try to work with the police and the CPS towards a code of practice: "We are not above the law."

The Principal of Jamal Mohamed College is an Academic Fraud

The following may take height of amusement! After all, he is the principal for ~ 8000 students and ~400 teachers. His bio data retrieved from the official server of Jamal Mohamed College is annexed for public criticism. The Principal of Jamal Mohamed College has cheated the entire India. His bio data in the official server of the college says something very strange. The bio data of Sheik Mohamed reveals that he doesn’t even know the name of the father of the nation!

Sheik Mohamed writes “Gandhi” as “Ghandhi” The entire nation has to laugh at the Principal of Jamal Mohamed College! Read the bio data of the Principal of Jamal Mohamed College. You will get amusement because he is not an Primary school kid. He is the Principal of a big college! Hell with Indian Education!

Carefullly study the first page of his bio data.

Section 7: service, item ix) Director, Jamal Institute of Management (MBA) = 6 Years (from 2004-2005)

Section 3:M.Com. (1974), M.Phil. (1984), Ph.D. (1994), PGDCA.(1996), FMSPI(2000), PGDFM (2001), FICWA (2001), Dip.MA (2006), MBA (2008), M.Phil.(Mgmt.) (2010) It is very clear he was the director of MBA department since 2004. He was not having MBA till 2008. He did MBA in 2008 under distance education in Alagappa University, which is another story. Records also say that he has guided M. Phil students in MBA department since 2004. It is a crystal clear act of cheating the AICTE which means cheating the entire India.

Section 8, v) Chief Superintendent, ICWA Examinations from June 2001 onwards. It is not clear - whether he is the Chief superintendent for ICWA examinations for the entire India or just the ICWA examination which were conducted in Jamal Mohamed College Premises? It sounds as if he is the chief superintendent of ICWA examinations for the entire country.
Section 11. a) RESEARCH GUIDANCE B.Com. -- 25 Candidates :

When did the UGC of India approve the B. Com as research degree? Just we the people of India want to know.

It is also not clear whether you have taught only 25 B. Com students in your 36 years of teaching service or every year you are guiding 25 students. We know that there is a fluctuation in the number of students admitted to the department each year.

Sheik Mohamed should be Jailed for providing wrong information to the public and misguiding the public.

You often keep taking ****ut updating information. Here is an example of the way you update your information:
